Chelsea told £100m man will be interesting signing, Blues make contact with Ligue 1 star, board sent message about the possible arrival of World Cup winning midfielder

Chelsea told Rice will be interesting signing, Board sent Dembele message and David moves made in Chelsea roundup.. Florent Malouda has urged Chelsea to add ‘quality’ to Thomas Tuchel’s ranks and has named Declan Rice as a possible signing for the club.

Chelsea are regarded as one of the best teams in Europe right now but have been struggling to maintain their quality on the pitch, with reports suggesting that the squad are mentally and physically tired. That has once again led to many reports in the media that the Blues may be open to adding some new players to the squad this transfer window, and that has led to reports Declan Rice is on the agenda.

After leaving Chelsea after failing to establish himself, Rice has developed into one of the very best midfielders in the Premier League, and is one main reason why the Hammers are so high up in the League. And former star Florent Malouda feels West Ham midfielder Rice would also be an ‘interesting’ addition in west London:

'I think Chelsea have already started for next season with the new contract of Thiago Silva, looking to keep [Antonio] Rudiger, and thinking about replacements for players that might leave,’ the ex-Chelsea and France winger said.

‘Every top team need to strengthen and look at the market to try and become the best team. ‘I don’t think there’s too many players who will improve Chelsea right now, so they should wait for players like [Erling] Haaland and [Kylian] Mbappe…those players are the type of players who will improve them.

‘I think Declan Rice could be interesting, not just because he was there before, but he’s a young player who has the experience of delivering for his club and national team so he could be a good option for Chelsea. He delivered at Euro 2020 and has continued that form with West Ham.

Rice is a quality midfielder that is ready to play for a big club, so we are all for him making a move to Chelsea. Chelsea have reportedly made an ‘enquiry’ for the services of Lille striker and Arsenal target Jonathan David. Both Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner are struggling for goals as of late, with both not being able to adapt to the way that Thomas Tuchel likes to play the game.

And that has led to many reports in the media over the past few weeks which have suggested that the German would like to delve into that transfer kitty and add a few players to the squad by the end of the window. And even though the Blues have not been able to sign any players just yet, there is now reports in the media that Chelsea are interested in acquiring the services of David, and have already made contact in a bid to get a deal done.

The 21-year-old forward has been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks. David is expected to leave Lille at the end of the season, and has attracted plenty of attention with his performances.

Timo Werner and Lukaku are two of the most deadly strikers in the game, and together, they should be firing Chelsea to all sorts of titles, but they cannot, and it is strange to see them struggling so much. If Tuchel can get them working together, they will be formidable, but he has a time-limit as Roman Abramovic wants results and trophies, meaning that Tuchel would probably need to buy his way out of trouble.

But even though David is a very good and exciting talent, he is not the player that would make the impact at the club that many would like, and spending £60 million to wrap up a deal would be more waste of money Tuchel needs to figure out how to get the best out of Lukaku and Werner, that is the path to success.

Florent Malouda has claimed that Ousmane Dembele would be an interesting addition to the Chelsea squad. The France forward, 24, has failed to agree a new contract at the Nou Camp, with his current deal set to expire this summer, and that has led to alot of speculation that he could come to the Premier League Chelsea are very much interested in getting some kind of transfer deal done, especially after the Spanish club told him he could leave the club this transfer window after failing to agree that new contract.

And amid all the speculation that he could sign with Chelsea by the end of the transfer window, Malouda has opened up and claimed that Dembele could be an interesting signing for the club

He told William Hill: ‘Adding players will depend on contract situations and what’s available. Ousmane Dembele is also interesting as he’s free in the summer, but would he suit the Premier League?

‘I think to strengthen they don’t need lots of players, just players who will add quality. ‘The squad has balance, so it’s just about adding players who will bring more of this.

‘It’s too early to assess these players because you want those who are performing at the top level for their teams at that moment. ‘Chelsea’s DNA is to bring in the best players and challenge for trophies, so they should look at doing that.’

It would be an interesting signing for Chelsea, as we would all be interested to see just how he would manage to play in the Premier League when he has been unable to succeed in La Liga He could be a world class player, but we firmly believe that he would not be able to make an impact for Chelsea, he is not the same player he was just a few seasons ago.
